First, I want to give props and say that Chito is an absolute warrior and his ability to take damage with virtually no outward sign of being rattled, may be second to none. At what point do losses become the beginning of a fighters decline and are no longer a learning experience that makes them better?
I think you can insert many, many names here, and do an analysis. We all saw it happen to fighters like Chuck Liddell, when he lost a half step, and could no longer instinctively avoid punches. Is it purely an age gap as some of the statistics show? Do most fighters begin to decline around the age of 35?
We could also analyze why fighters like Randy, DC and Glover, seem to age like a fine wine. Is that self-awareness or an ability to avoid damage and pick their spots to be offensive?
