I think the Big Cat would have scared the shit out of Brock. That guy looked like a fucking bear in there and could take down a water buffalo.

i don't remember enough erickson fights to comment on him...just the randleman fight

i think he'd be too big for randleman and too athletic for severn. but i think a prime kerr or a prime coleman could beat him. probably would just depend on who won the takedown battle with those two. as both kerr and coleman were pretty brutal from top

Coleman and Kerr would have gotten the takedown at will. Even if they didn't, they are far better wrestlers than anyone he has faces so they would have escaped as well. Phone Post

Easytarget - If Brock had faced their opponents back then, he would have done just as well as them.

Brock has better skills and would beat all 3.

What skills is he better at? Takedowns? His kickboxing? His submissions? Please feel free to expound.

WALES1 - Lesnar.

Lesnar also beats Prime Kerr, Coleman, Severn and Randleman.

I could see him beating Severn and Randleman, but not Coleman or Kerr.

The Tom Erikson that got KO'd by Herring?

Man, what selective memories here.

Fighters of that era couldn't touch fighters of this era.

Lesnar was a modern world champion. Kerr was a blown up 190 pounder. So was Coleman. Now Erikson was a big guy who could wrestle, but he wasn't one-tenth the athlete Lesnar was. Nor did he have close to the same level of conditioning.

Who did Erikson ever beat? Couture? Carwin? Herring? Mir? Everyone Erikson beat, Brock would have beaten in less than 2;00.

There is no way Lesnar was a better wrestler than Erikson.

I'd pick Brock over a prime Erickson, Kerr, and Coleman.

This, too many people cling to relics of the past and falsely deify them. Brock would steam roll just about every name mentioned on this list.

It's stupid to say Brock has better skills, he's training in a different era and the context is totally different.

The fact is, when those guys were out there fighting, Brock was around too. He knew about MMA but he decided to do pretend wrestling instead. Then when MMA became a big moneymaker, he suddenly wanted to be an MMA fighter.

Striking: Erikson has the edge over Lesnar. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lodgVKNWFCo&feature=related

Grappling: Edge to Erikson. Close but Erikson wrestled at a higher level.

Conditioning: Edge to Erikson. Brock has gone 15 minutes. Erikson has gone 40 minutes in one fight.
